Here is a new pattern from Betty Cotton. The Brindle Basket combines machine embroidery and fold and finish technique and also adds mitered corners to the border. Easier than you might think. Two samples are shown, front and back. There is a sample at A Straight Stitch in Brewer.
These are some items I have made using the Cotton Theory Quilting method. The last two pictures are the front and back of the Gentle Pines pattern which I just love!
My latest project is a collaboration with my sister, Donna Stalaboin. We wrote a pattern for a tote bag and this bag is so addicting. I think I've made at least 13 bags so far. I love it!!The pattern is for sale at local Quilt Shops and from this website and our new website www.cutthatoutsis.com . Ask your quilt shop owner to schedule a class! The small size is made with fat quarters. Donna made a large version and used a belt as a temporary handle. Isn't that cute?
This quilt was made using Modas "Woodland Greetings" fabric on the front and Clothworks "Cheep Housing" fabric on the back. It came out beautiful. You have to see it in person. The quilt is on display at A Straight Stitch in Brewer. This pattern uses Betty Cottons Overpass seam.
Linda did it again. She made a beautiful quilt from the CT Book 2. Wish you could see it in person.......it is so awsome! The quilting in each square is beautiful.
This quilt was made using Cotton Theory Quilting techniques. As with all Cotton Theory projects, you end up with two quilts in one! I used Shangra La fabric by Moda for the front and Civil War fabric for the back. This quilt is on display at A Straight Stitch in Brewer.
